If I could give this hostel more than a 10/10, I absolutely would!
I originally booked a 6-bed dorm, but I was upgraded to a brand-new building and ended up in a room shared with only one other person, with a private bathroom. It was even better than I expected.
The value for money is incredible. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout my stay. They also offered a great selection of tours that were easy to book directly at the hostel.
One thing I really appreciated was that after check-out, they allowed me to store my luggage and even use the bathrooms and showers later in the day. This was incredibly convenient because I had booked a tour on my last day. I was able to come back, take a shower, get ready, and then head to my transportation feeling refreshed.
I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and I highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Tam Coc

When I arrived, there was an issue with the elevator, so the staff kindly transferred me to Tam Coc Guest House One, just a 2-minute walk away, at no extra cost. The new hotel was much more modern, exceptionally clean, and beautifully maintained. Everything looked brand new. The room had a comfortable bed, a refrigerator, strong air conditioning, and a delicious breakfast. The staff were very friendly and always happy to help arrange bicycles, tours, and laundry service. They also have a nice swimming pool, and bicycles are available free of charge. I really appreciated how professionally they handled the situation and made sure my stay was even better than expected.
Excellent service, outstanding hospitality, and great value for money. Tam Coc Guest House One exceeded my expectations, and I would happily stay there again.

The room is a very good size for 4 people, and they allow us to do a early check in because the room was available.
They don't have a adequate storage room for leaving the luggage in case of early check-in or waiting for a night bus, on a Thursday day we wake up at 7am because they were doing construction on site, the breakfast is only one option.

nice clean room for good price
The staff was so difficult to communicate with (even with google translator). E.g. there were plenty of bicycles (like six) available but we couldn't rent because there was "no keys"? Why would you have way more bikes than keys to them? Finding anyone from the staff took forever, check in was problematic for no reason. I was under strong impression that they had absolutely no idea what they were doing. Wierd, clueless vibe.
Room and bed was okay, but bedsheets were torn/ripped in multiple spots.
Not-so-good breakfast (but included in the price, so can't complain)
I booked a bus to cat ba through the hostel, got contradictory info from 2 different staff members... On a day before I was told to be ready at 8.30, at 8.30 on the day of I was told that "what, no, why, be ready at 9", then actually more like 9.30. Not a big deal, but you could have told me the correct time the night before so I could sleep more lol.
