Vacasa actually converted a standard hotel room into a great little beach cottage!
Just unfortunate the onsite Inn restaurant and bar was under a total remodel, which is great for future guests!

The room was beautifully decorated and furnished. I was so thrilled about what I saw when walking in the first time. I can’t wait to return!
The property does need many more handicapped parking places spread out where the buildings were located. There were only 2 that were always taken and far away from the building that I was in. Simply impossible for me to park across the street and carry my bags up the 2 flights of stairs to my room.
Everything else was just perfect and a wonderful experience.
Already stated, lack of Handicapped parking places.

I liked the location of this property. It was right on the beach and it is close driving distance to restaurants and stores. The room we stayed in was also clean.
I booked our room May of 2024 at no point did the Oceanfront Litchfield Inn advise that this room was not affiliated with their property. It was a private rental like an air bnb. I would never have booked it had I known that. When my husband and I arrived after a long day of travel from NJ the male receptionist was insisting we didn’t have a reservation. This is after The Litchfield Inn had sent me 10 emails and texts advising me of my upcoming trip and how to proceed once we arrived. I showed him the one of the emails that included our room number 251 and he said they were not The Sandshack Inn and he didn’t know where that hotel was located. My husband and I insisted so the receptionist finally asked someone who said yes that reservation is with The Litchfield Inn. He gave us our keys but did not give us a parking pass or explain how to access the pool or beach or how to obtain beach/pool towels. Later that day, we encountered a very rude male receptionist when we went to obtain our parking pass. He also insisted we didn’t have a reservation. We advised we had already checked in and had just come from our room. He had a poor attitude and again was insisting he couldn’t find us in the system. We gave him the room number and showed him the email from The Litchfield Inn. The original male receptionist we had spoken to came over in the midst of this to say yes we did have a reservation and we were given our parking pass at last. We travel 3 - 4 times per year, domestically and internationally. We have never had so much difficulty when checking into any hotel. The room itself was so filled with clutter it was very hard to move around in. It had 2 couches, a coffee table and chair, a desk and another chair, another table, a wardrobe, a photocopied/scanner, 3 throw blankets, 6 decorative pillows. Every wall and surface was covered. The bed was built into a box.
