The hosts were lovely and very helpful especially as we had a tyre puncture on our last day! The house is situated in a lovely village with a short drive into the beautiful town of Cassis and train station if you wish to explore more of France. The property was very spacious, it’s a shame that we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoor space more due to travelling into Marseille. The beds were very comfy and the kitchen was well equipped. Unfortunately, the cleaning company the host used let them down on this occasion. There was a lot of dust/hair under the sofas and in the bathrooms when we arrived. Toothpaste in the sinks and the dishwasher was full of old lettuce. We were also informed by the host that towels, bed sheets and the cleaning fee were not included in the price we had paid. These were optional and could be paid on arrival. We did not find this to be clear on the VRBO website. This seems to be a failing of VRBO rather than the hosts but it meant that we had to pay an extra €202 on arrival (linen and cleaning fee as we had our own towels). Overall we had an enjoyable stay at the property and we would consider returning to Cassis. Thank you Yves.
