Located in Harpswell, this lovely house for $450 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Having its own stairway that invites you directly down to the pebbly shore, Portside has all the amenities a person could ask for! Such a location, is prime for kayaking, swimming, bird watching and all other outdoor endeavors, right there in your own backyard! You will be charmed by all this home has to offer. Portside is a contemporary style home, all creature comforts included. It receives a generous amount of natural light from the abundance of windows and skylights located throughout and features vaulted ceilings. The open concept kitchen, living and dining areas offer guests ample room to comfortably gather. You will enjoy having dinner alongside glass doors overlooking Mill Cove, or you may crack open a book in the naturally lit four season sun room, with floors that have the ability to heat beneath you on chilly fall evenings. There is a bedroom located off of the kitchen on the first level with a powder room just outside the door. The second level, with an additional living area, boasts beautiful beams and vaulted ceilings, as it splits to a third level where the rest of the bedrooms are located, each provided their own bathroom. Stepping outside for your first breath of salty air, you will immediately feel relaxation set in as you find the lavish amount of yard space offering you the ability to tune into the great natural enchantments that the Maine coast has to offer. The yard is meticulously landscaped and proposes that you enjoy the deck just outside of the glass doors located in the dining room. Two Coves Farm is located just down the road, if you desire to indulge in farm fresh groceries. The Dolphin Marina and Erica’s Seafood are just a short drive away, if you are looking to please your pallet! Additionally, Portside is just 10 minutes from Brunswick’s town center, where you will find an abundance of activities and eateries to indulge in! Whatever your wants or needs, Portside is sure to meet both! Pets are welcome at Portside (a non-refundable pet fee applies). Electricity was out . Two calls to emergency phones no response for 2 hours. Lighting was hard to figure out through house. Mouse droppings found in kitchen drawer. Property manager was very nice when returned call and came by later in the day. Very stressful day with no water or electricity the day of my mother in laws funeral

This is a good-sized house with lovely water views, an open floor plan, nice bedrooms with private baths, and big dining room table that was perfect for a family Christmas.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful home and property! This was perfect for our annual pre-Christmas gathering with our adult children and their families. The home had everything we needed. Everything was spotless. The property manager was very friendly, very helpful and very accommodating. Nearby Brunswick was absolute Christmas magic; we couldn't have enjoyed it more. Freeport was only a 1/2-hour drive. We loved everything about this place!

We had a lovely family reunion over a long weekend and enjoyed Portside very much. It is a beautiful home on the water in a secluded area with lots of room for everyone. It is close to restaurants and the store and there is lots to do in area. We would definitely rent here again. The only suggestion is that the 2 couches may need some updating soon.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our preferred Maine Stay home is Tranquil Harbor; we’ve stayed twice and wanted to stay there this trip as it fits our needs better (main level bedroom and bath for couple with knee issues). While Portside had a main level bedroom, there was only a half bath with a toilet that had issues. We swept off the debris from the front door and deck. A couple other bathrooms had rust spots or other isses around shower enclosure. Hot water was limited. Prior group did not clean the grill and trash was everywhere. We will probably look for other options if Tranquil Harbor is not available. PS we want to book now for September 2024, please advise!

Reviewer Comments: When our first rental home didn’t have sufficient heat (usually don’t need it in June, but temps were unseasonably cooler than normal for June) the MaineStay staff went out of their way to put us up in this home instead. We were so appreciative of their kindness and their ability to get the home ready for us in a matter of an hour or so on such short notice. They were wonderful to deal with and I would highly recommend renting a home from them.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family had a wonderful week at Portside! The view was beautiful and the morning breeze was a perfect accompaniment. Our grandchildren had a great time playing in the yard and searching for shells at low tide. They named two friendly seagulls, Sully and Sally. The restaurants we found nearby were great and grocery and shopping trips were all easy to get too. Wish we had longer to stay!

A house with great light and nice bedroom arrangemnt on tidal beach with water view It is a short walk to scenic Two Coves Farm.

We loved everything about this house. The only thing I can say we wished there was more of was cookware in the kitchen but otherwise this house is really clean and stocked up. We really appreciated all the kid friendly games and activities found in the garage. We also originally was scared of the lobster steaming device but then found it to be super user friendly and wished all houses came with this. We can't wait to return!

This property was great. It was large and very nice on the water. My only complaint was that it didn't have any dish cleaning supplies for dishes or the dishwasher, but you had to clean the dishes before leaving. Other than that it was perfect for the four adults that were there.

Four-day stay was a "peaceful easy feeling, and 16 Portside didn't let us down." Plenty of grocery stores nearby (within appeox. 10 mile drive to Brunswick), and the picturesque inlet is indescribable. Highly recommend Cook's Lobster and Ale House on Bailey's Island.

Portside was the ideal home to come together with family. The home is spacious with beautiful views from the large windows facing the bay. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck, kayaking, and shopping in Freeport. We would recommend Two Coves Farm for healthy fresh produce and meat, loved our bakery items from Wild Oats Bakery in Brunswick, and dining at Dolphin Marina- (definitley worth the trip for the views. Staff at Mainstay were quick to respond to inquiries, and made the rental of Portside seamless.

The house was very comfortable, the view of the cove just beautiful. We enjoyed watching the tidal changes, sitting on the deck or from the rooms that also provided beautiful views of this serene setting. Convenient to explore the Harpswells and the islands which we enjoy so much. Great location on the Maine coast. We miss it already.
