About this cabin rental
The little gem offers amazing views of the lake and the Sangre De Cristo mountain range. Relax on the spacious deck with grill or enjoy the outdoor sports of Colorado. With Cuchara Ski Basin now open, skiing is just a day trip away! Kayak and fish in the lake, hike, mountain bike or just enjoy the beautiful views. This is the perfect spot to relax for up to 2 adults. Inquire about pets. Come and enjoy Colorado outdoors. This is 20 min from downtown. The roads are dirt and a 4WD is not required but may make travel easier in inclement weather.

Everything about our vacation stay at the Lake Cabin was fantastic! This property has everything going for it if you are looking for a comfortable, cozy, private retreat with a spectacular view of Lake Trinidad and beautiful surroundings. Upon arrival, we were surprised to find a nice bottle of wine and tasty snacks. The host couple, Amy and Martin, were very conscientious about every detail and went out of their way to tend to an unexpected problem with the air conditioning. We plan to return anytime we are in Southern Colorado.

My husband and I needed a long weekend away from it all. THIS PLACE WAS PERFECT! We could sit outside in peace. We drove around, enjoyed the area, and relaxed. If you go, which you should, follow Amy’s directions! Amy’s place is spotless and has small sweet touches of charm. The bed was comfortable and the pictures don’t do the views justice: The place is small, welcoming, comfortable, and a place where you can forget time and your troubles. We hope to return.

This was the perfect combination of isolation and adventure! It was so quiet at the cabin and the view was beyond description. A trip to the state park nearby and downtown Trinidad complemented this cozy retreat. Our host clearly has a passion for hospitality. Our stay couldn’t have been better!

Good communication with Amy, very hospitable. Easy check-in and check-out. Very clean, cozy and quant lil gem by the lake with beautiful views from the outside deck of the lake & mountains, very private tucked away in the mountain landscape.Very surprised by the beautiful flowers and goodie’s welcoming us to this home away from home. We will definitely be back in the near future.
