About this house rental

Nestled in Edge Hill, this attractive house for $436 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Our beautiful Villa with a sparkling plunge pool is the perfect base for your Cairns trip. Only 5 mins from the airport, your holiday starts virtually after landing. Within walking distance of award-winning restaurants & cafes. Enjoy living like a local with dinner & drinks at Noa and breakfast at Osmosis. You'll also enjoy easy access to the Cairns Botanical gardens, a National Park (Whitfield Conservation Park) perfect for some hiking or catching up with some of the local wildlife. Hamptons Style Villa with pool The perfect tropical escape, just a click away. Situated in Cairns’ booming urban hub, Edge Hill, our Tropical Home is a contemporary take on a traditional Queenslander-style property with quality furnishings that epitomize Cairns’ tropical lifestyle. The main house has 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, but what makes it all the more special is the separate bungalow in the backyard. The bungalow includes a King bed, an ensuite, a kitchenette, seating and a 50 inch smart TV that’ll leave you yearning for nothing. After a day exploring enjoy cooling off in our brand-new sparkling pool. During your stay, you’ll have access to all the essentials. You’ll also find a coffee machine, rice cooker, microwave and DVD player. We also provide free coffee pods, tea bags, sugar & toiletries (body wash, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, dishwashing liquid and clothes-washing detergent). Places to see/things to do A typical weekend in Edge Hill starts with brunch at one of the locality’s many cafes (we recommend Ozmosis, Noa & Teddy for the coffee snobs). All of these cafes are no more than a 10-minute walk from your front door. After a satisfying and insta worthy bite, you could head for a walk up the Red Arrow. It’s an uphill bushwalk/hike in the National Park (Whitfield Conservatory Park), next to the Botanical Gardens, with a stunning view of Cairns at the top, perfect for burning off that pancake stack. After that little burst of exercise, you might need a rest. You could head back to your Villa and have a much-deserved rejuvenating swim in the pool & relax those muscles. Or pack up some lunch and head to the city to cool off at the esplanade lagoon (a huge freshwater swimming pool). After your dip, you could cook up a feast at one of the communal barbeques. Entering your next food coma, it’s time to relax in the sun and pick up a good book with a view of the ocean as you read. By this point, you’ve rested enough, now it’s time for a drink. You could head over to the Riley, which is also on the esplanade. After a drink on the ground floor, you take things up a notch by heading to the rooftop bar. The Riley serves a mean cocktail, and their nibblies aren’t too bad either. After a jam-packed day in the sun (albeit with quite a lot of relaxation), it’s about time to head home. You’re feeling a bit lazy so you pick up some takeaway at the Edge Hill village. Ozmosis and Noa also do a really amazing dinner, but we love the Japanese restaurant, Haruka as well. Whichever you choose, enjoy your takeaway back at your luxury Villa, perhaps pull out a board game to finish the day off with a little wholesome fun, and then head to bed. This Luxury Villa is an ideal place to indulge and enjoy some unashamed relaxation with absolutely no one to judge you, after all this is your own private Villa. We hope you enjoy your little taste of Edge Hill life as much as we do every day. To see more photos, as well as our other houses, head over to @thevillasofcairns on Insta Oh and not to forget, we are very happy for you to bring along your pet, why should they miss out on such a good time! This is your own private Villa you will NOT be sharing any of the facilities. I live 10 minutes away should you need me. Edge Hill is Cairns's premier suburb. Quiet leafy streets, close to the city and airport. As a village, it has everything you need. Many of our guests are truly surprised to be able to access hiking trails so close to the Villa, which opens up to amazing ocean & mountain views over Cairns and the GBR. (don't be surprised to run into a few Kangaroos in their native environment) The more active guests love joining the locals, for an early morning jog up the red arrow walk, also a part of the National Park. Of course, this is all free and within walking distance of the Villa. Not far from the Villa is a well-kept Cairns local secret, a natural swimming hole with crystal clear mountain water that spills into shallow streams meandering through jungle landscapes, such an amazing experience, perfect to cool down on some of our warmer days. Also a free activity and also a part of the National Park, Freshwater Creek is a must-see. The Botanical Gardens also hosts the Tanks Entertainment precinct, where Cairns locals regularly enjoy small intimate concerts by local & international artists. Or for a truly unique Cairns experience grab a bean bag and popcorn and watch a movie under the stars projected onto cinema screens in the rainforest. What about wandering around a local festive food market? The monthly Tanks Markets feature stallholders, musicians, food & refreshments. Entry is free and once again it's within walking distance from the Villa, wander the leafy promenade, explore the site and take in the atmosphere. I suggest you hire a car. Cairns is quite spread out & there is much to see & do. We are less than 10 minute drive from the airport and about the same from the city center. If you choose not to hire a car, there a bus stop metres away. We also have uber. There is everything you need in the village which is around 100 metres away. Restaurants, butcher, newsagent, coffee shops, nail boutique, hairdressers, shoe shop, doctors & convenience store. A Porta cot and high chair are available upon request. Please be aware that the Villa is situated in a beautiful residential area, therefore we ask that you respect the peace & tranquility of the neighborhood and monitor your entry and exits particularly in late evenings. Needless to say, we have a strict NO-party policy as per Airbnb rules. This is a residential area, STRICTLY NO PARTIES OR GATHERINGS you will be asked to leave the premises if you are found to be holding a party/gathering of any sort.
