The beach is nearby and the train station in the centre of Pietrasanta makes visiting nearby towns like Lucca, Pisa and Florence, easy if you do not wish to drive. Pietrasanta is small and intimate but also international, due to the many marble sculpting studios and art galleries in the town and surrounding area.
