We enjoyed our stay at the house. Direct access to the beach was great, and the deck has lots of space and seating – we enjoyed the hot tub. The house was generally comfortable for six adults. The kitchen has a good selection of pots, dishes, etc. Laundry facilities were excellent. The house had a good supply of essentials like dish soap, toilet paper, etc. The host was responsive when we had questions.Our first impression was a bit tarnished by the broken ‘brickwork’ on the front entryway. There were several things that didn’t seem to function quite right – the door on the downstairs shower leaked every time, a light in the kitchen didn’t work, and there were more insects downstairs, mostly spiders, than seemed normal. One of the screen doors was bent and didn’t seem to close securely.The website doesn’t give much info on the layout which would have been useful to me. The king-sized bedroom is down some fairly steep stairs. It has no closet or anywhere to hang clothes, or window coverings (not for privacy but light). The other three bedrooms are on the main floor (one queen with an en suite half bath), with the other bathroom. The TV is downstairs, not in the main living area. Not an issue for us but I would have wanted to know this when my children were younger. Another feature which makes this more of a four-star rating was the lack of bedside tables and lamps. All queen/king bedrooms had one lamp and table I think, some had two tables – but not two lamps.

This spot is able to handle and sleep 8 people easily. There is an open space living space with big windows, a kitchen which is fully equipped, a propane fireplace, an excellent outdoor furniture. The basement has a games room, TV and a bar plus of course another bedroom. The three bedroom on the mainfloor were all comfortable. We had great time. There are lots of places around Kempt Shore to discover. The communication with the host was excellent. The information provided covered all aspects. Thank you.

Overall it was satisfactory. The only problems were locaton to grocery store. And the fact one of us had to catch a mouse and missed one.
