Serious cleanliness, maintenance, and pest issues made this a stressful and disappointing experience

Initially, the host appeared warm, helpful, and responsive. Prior to our arrival, they provided the necessary information and guidance to access the property, which was appreciated as we were travelling from Faro. Their communication before check-in gave us confidence that the property would meet the standards described in the listing. Unfortunately, our experience changed significantly upon arrival. The property was not presented in the condition advertised, and several aspects fell well below our expectations.

The property did not honestly match the listing. We encountered cleanliness and health specific issues, with worn out damp smelling towels, visible mosquitoes, possible bed bugs, and repeated cooker power outage when making meals. My children suffered multiple bug bites and struggled to sleep. Photos were taken and submitted as evidence during our complaint. The property is quite dated and poorly maintained, with visible structural cracks. We moved in c. 11pm and out the next day at the earliest light. When these issues were raised, the host became defensive. As a long time Booking.com customer, I have never left such a negative review, but the condition of this property and the host's response left me no choice. The accommodation fell well below the standard advertised and at the time of our stay was a health risk.

Nos alojamos en este apartamento con nuestra familia durante un fin de semana y, lamentablemente, la experiencia no cumplió con nuestras expectativas. Al llegar nos encontramos el piso en un estado de limpieza muy deficiente, con basura acumulada en una de las habitaciones, el suelo sucio, telarañas en los techos y un techo con importantes desperfectos, con partes desprendiéndose, lo que daba sensación de falta de mantenimiento y poca seguridad. Además, el acceso al edificio está muy deteriorado. Las escaleras son muy antiguas, presentan un desgaste considerable y crujen al subir y bajar, transmitiendo una sensación de abandono. Quiero destacar que la anfitriona fue muy amable y atenta en todo momento, por lo que no tenemos ninguna queja sobre su trato. Sin embargo, el estado del apartamento está muy descuidado y necesita una limpieza a fondo y un mantenimiento urgente. Es una pena, porque con estas mejoras la experiencia podría ser mucho mejor.

Apartament pomimo że w starej kamienicy i technicznie dotknięty zębem czasu to czuć ogromną troskę o to aby zapewnić komfortowy pobyt. Bardzo czysto, przestronnie, cicho i komfortowo. Bezproblemowo zaparkowałem pod oknem. Bardzo sympatyczna, troskliwa i otwarta na nasze potrzeby obsługa realizowana przez Vicky. Na tle innych lokalizacji w Porto mój pewniak na kolejną wizytę.
