I called the number in the email upon arrival and was in the midst of talking to a man to check in and get keys, but then I ended up finding the ladies who lived onsite and they immediately took me to my room and took care of me from there. One lady spoke a little English and the other didn't speak English, so we used the app on my phone, but they both were so sweet it didn't matter. They were so very kind and accommodating, you don't need words to communicate that. The space was cozy and had the necessities. The lady in charge brought me fresh fruit (grapes and a peach) a few times and gave me hugs and was so sweet, I felt very welcomed and comfortable.
There is a Studenac Market just a few minutes away, and you are about 15min from Pile Gate by bus on # 4 or #6. The stop for Bus 4 to Pile Gate is right around the corner to the right once you go down the stairs (go up the hill for a second, you will see it on the right), and the stop for Bus #6 is about a 10min walk away, down a nice Promenade of restaurants and shops. Once I figured out public transit (Google is useless) it was easy to get around. :) Pro tip: Get your bus tickets at the Tisak stands for 1,73 ahead of time rather than buying them on the bus for 2,50.

The owners were staying in the villa next door and were incredibly friendly & welcoming; they shared seasonal figs straight from the tree, shared public transport information (where Google Maps failed) and were very friendly with our children (who loved interacting with them).
The location is great (except a lot of steps to access).
The number 4 bus stop is minutes away (Get LibertasApp as Google Maps doesn't show the local bus), there's a bakery & convenience store across the road, and the area of Lapad is beautiful, it actually feels like a totally different place from Dubrovnik Old Town.
You get what you pay for, but the villa is small and dated; the WiFi service was quite weak but good enough for browsing, the A/C was only intermittently functional (nice and cold when working) and the hot water in the shower only lasted a couple of minutes (cold showers were fine for us with the summer temperatures)

Buena ubicación, las personas del lugar eran amables. Lugar comodo, muy de vacaciones, nada fancy y muy cerca de la locomoción y la playa
Estaba sucio, habian pelos hasta en las frazadas… tuve que llamar para que limpiaran el baño, lo cual hicieron sin problemas, pero creo que no deberia suceder eso.

Though the property requires some significant investment for its renovation, we loved the location. The apartment is only a few meters from the beach, bus stop, bakery and supermarket, as well as the promenade with restaurants, which makes it very easy especially with small children. The aircon worked really well and the beds were very comfortable. Overall, the place was quiet and we enjoyed having our breakfast and lunch outside in the garden. The host also treated us with fresh fruit from their garden.
Firstly, we were a bit shocked since the property didn't look like on the photos. The facilities were old and old-fashioned. We also thought that the apartment had a private balcony, but the picture on booking.com was actually the space in the common garden, which we then used. Overall, the positive aspects like the locations, beds and the tranquility compensated for the negative aspects.
