Located along, “The Ave of the Giants” , it was convenient easy on/off HWY 101. Miranda Mkt. , gas station and restaurants one mile north of cottage.
Dark sky was great for stargazing. Well stocked kitchen with condiments appreciated . Bed linens were not laundered with perfumes.
Cottage located just above ours had a string of outdoor lights which diminished our stargazing. Lights also shown through East bedroom window with no curtains to block light.

Very clean, comfortable, and well equipped cottage. A super easy stop after our long drive. Food/groceries only a mile away and it was a short drive to all the redwood groves we wanted to see!
Some traffic noise as it is close to the 101.

Lovely timber-framed, split level cottage in a surprisingly quiet location in the woods (with a redwood soaring up just outside the window) a very short distance from Highway 101. Very spacious, clean, well appointed, two very large bedrooms and good bathroom. A very short drive from Miranda which has an excellent grocery and liquor store and the quite superb Avenue Cafe which has a real American Diner feel, terrific staff and spectacular pizzas.

I absolutely loved our stay. I’m a 37+ year flight attendant so I spend multiple nights per week in hotels. For my personal travel I usually stay in homes, cottages and apts around the world. My focus is always location and this couldn’t have been better. I enjoyed mornings with coffee and wine in the evenings on the balcony after hikes during the day. It was a spectacular setting for my son and I to decompress and celebrate his completion at Berkeley before heading to SoCal. We have a company travel blog and I will definitely recommend this property to my coworkers.
