About this house rental
You have found the only waterfront home on the Broad River on VRBO! This spacious home offers an amazing getaway that is on 4 acres, has a pool table, theater TV, salon, firepit, frisbee golf, fishing and picnicking by the river. Amazing Sunrises! The luxury of feeling away from it all while being minutes to Restaurants, Grocery stores, local night spots, Ole Oak barn, Cotton Press, Lake Murray, USC and Columbia! The faster you get here the sooner you get to change your pace and unwind at the River Retreat!
The Broad River Retreat Includes:
-4 Bedrooms (2 KING bedrooms, 1 Queen Bedroom, 4 Twins in a bedroom)
-3 Full Baths
-2 Kitchens (one upstairs and one downstairs) that have everything you need to cook (Plus a Keurig and regular drip coffee maker)
-2 Living Rooms (One upstairs and one downstairs)
-Game Room- Pool table and Hookey game, ***Newly added Arcade games (Wheel of Fortune and Pac-Man/Galaga)
-Salon- Great for getting ready for a wedding or just for fun! Includes Hair styling salon station and chair, Hair washing sink and chair, Futon
-Washer and Dryer
-Game Closet with lots of games and puzzles
-6 TV's (a massive 86-inch TV in the upstairs living room, one in the downstairs living room, plus a tv in every bedroom)
-Outdoor Dining, grill

-Wheelchair accessible to the main floor of the house

This spacious house has all the comforts of home. We have tried to think of all the little details from cooking supplies to a first aid kit to fun quirky things that make our place a unique unforgettable experience.
Inside Fun- Pool table, Hookey game, Game closet with lots of games and puzzles, Arcade games, Guitars to play, Theater TV (86 inches, over 6 feet wide!), Salon for getting ready fun, toy basket for small children, Books, Mural for viewing and taking lots of cute pictures :)
Outside fun- Frisbee golf, horseshoes, corn hole, HUMONGOUS chair by the river, picnic table, fish, fire pit, grill, huge field, huge 10 ft table to dine, multiple porches to relax and take in all the river views and wildlife (you may even spot an eagle!)

This is our second stay at River Retreat. Love it! House is wonderful - clean, spacious, and well-appointed. We enjoy spending time on the peaceful porch overlooking the river, listening to the wind in the trees. Loved the new steps down to the field next to the water. The host is very responsive. This is just a fabulous place to stay. I'm sure we will be back again.

We stayed for three nights to get together with our adult children because this was midway between all of us. We had the most amazing weekend! We spent every morning watching the sun come up on the back porch and listening to the hundreds of singing birds that make you feel like you're in a rainforest or a jungle. We stayed busy all weekend between disc golf challenges, pool tournaments, and board games. The house is pretty secluded and we never saw another person the whole time we were there. However, we were close enough to town that we were able to get food delivered one evening. I can't say enough great things about this house and we will absolutely be renting it again in the future.

Our stay at this riverfront property was absolutely wonderful! The decor was charming and thoughtfully designed, making the space feel cozy yet spacious. The location is breathtaking, with stunning views of the river and plenty of room for the kids to run around and play games. They especially loved exploring the outdoor area by the river, which was a highlight of our trip. The host was incredibly kind and easy to work with, ensuring everything went smoothly. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait to come back!

We were very disappointed that the river was not easily accessible. The path to the river was dangerous. There was a place you could drive and have access run around the corner, but the river was a big drop down. We were thinking and hoping that the river was more accessible than that we can ask for more friendly host. we were just disappointed that it was pretty expensive for nothing to do.
