Smooth check in 7/17, The amenities at the Shores are great. Only front room & 1 bedroom has a TV. Upon arrival, we noticed gnats, which multiplied significantly throughout the day. A foul smell became noticeable. By Friday morning, the gnat infestation was severe, throughout the apt, which we no longer wanted to cook. We informed the host, who sent someone with gnat traps and supplies for homemade vinegar/soap traps. While these helped, gnats persisted, and the smell intensified. On Saturday morning, while looking for a baking sheet, we discovered old, molded BBQ, maggots, and gnats in the stovetop range oven. This indicated a substantial infestation. We immediately contacted the property manager, who stated she would send someone, and they didn't arrive til later that evening @4 PM. She expressed confusion, saying the "maintenance" cleans after every guest. We believe the "maintenance" likely only focused on the wall oven, overlooking the stovetop range oven.We are disappointed by the property manager's continued denial of the BBQ in the oven, even after her staff witnessed it. Her accusatory attitude and refusal to let me speak were very disrespectful. As if I'm trying to get over, I have integrity, I could've complained about other things comforter stains, unwashed perfume/cologne scent left in linen, hair, lent, dust/cookie in couch, The owners should take responsibility for these issues and consider hiring a professional cleaning company, providing photographic proof.
