Hilton Okinawa Miyako Island Resort

We stayed for a weekend trip to the island and we were able to enjoy the amenities of the hotel while running out to see some sights around the island. We upgraded to an executive level room after we had already paid for a rate with breakfast included. They offered us the option to enjoy the breakfast in the lounge and get the buffet lunch included instead. I thought that was nice to honor what we already paid for and still get the benefits of the lounge. The hotel is only three years old and is beautiful. We liked the lobby decor and the conditions of the room - it still looks new. The grounds are very well kept and there are four pools to choose from. We enjoyed the food in the lounge (breakfast, snacks, tea, and evening canapes and drinks). The lounge also has a beautiful view. The main dining room offered great options for breakfast and lunch buffets. The hotel has public beach access and is near a small set of restaurants (Yard Miyakojima) so there are some easy off site options if you want them. We were able to easily drive to other sites around the island from the hotel. The staff were very friendly and made a point to know our names and room numbers in the executive lounge. We had a lovely experience staying there and the staff and ambiance of the hotel made it a very relaxing and effortless trip.

If I had to say anything, I would say that the afternoon tea is a bit small in the lounge, it offered a few small cakes and cookies. It isn't a traditional afternoon tea with scones and sandwiches that we have gotten in lounges in other hotels. I saw that they offer afternoon tea in the main lobby lounge, but we didn't have time to try that. I'm assuming that might have been the more traditional tea service. Again, not a problem for us, but just not what we exepected when we saw afternoon tea.

Otelin konumu oldukça iyiydi. Havuzunun akşam saat 10'a kadar açık olması da baya güzel açıkçası. Temizliği çok iyiydi. Odaların rahatlığı ve genişliği çok iyiydi. Kahvaltısı oldukça çeşitli idi. Personeli çok yardımsever ve kibardı. Çevrede zararlı bir deniz anası türü olduğu için halk plajını fileler ile ayırmışlar. Bu bölüm tamamı ile güvenli.

Otelin adının Hilton olduğunu düşününce, ücretli hizmet almak açısından menünün bu kadar dar tutulmasını yadırgadık. Örneğin havuz başındaki barda ücretli bir şekilde yiyip içebileceğimiz şeyler oldukça azdı ve ayrıca bunların da çoğu tükenmiş durumdaydı. Kokteyller konusunda da maalesef otelin sınıfta kaldığını söylemem gerekir. Şuruplu şekerli çok az alkollü karışımlar yapıp adına kokteyl demişler maalesef. Görüntüsü oldukça güzel ve otelden erişimi çok rahat bir plaj var. Plajda muhtemelen Miyako kuralları nedeni ile otelin şezlong ve şemsiyesi bulunmuyor. Sadece halk plajı olarak belirlenen yerde şezlong şemsiye kullanmak mümkün olabiliyor. Deniz tertemiz ama berrak değil, muhtemelen dalgaların kumu kaldırması nedeni ile bir şey görebilmek mümkün olamıyor.
