A nice apartment well priced in Laguna. The host, Yui, was very helpful we really appreciated her assistance and this made it very easy to stay. The laguna apartments are old but structurally sound and spacious. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you may need including all plates, cutlery, cooking equipment etc. Always a concern for us when booking an apartment, but this was by far one of the best equipped kitchen/homes that we have stayed in. The living area was spacious and comfortable, and the shared pool right outside was good. Lots of plants so the apartment still felt private, and there was an upstairs balcony as well as downstairs patio.

Most places inform you in advance that electricity is additional but we were only informed after we had booked - there was no mention of this additional cost pre-booking, and we did not like this surprise! I like to know how much everything is going to cost and this left some uncertainty, especially as Laguna area has higher rates per Kw for electricity than elsewhere in Phuket. If you use AC in every room all day then expect to pay quite a bit - but as we only used AC in the bedroom at night, it worked out to about $10 a day for electricity. One day the housekeepers came and left all the AC and lights on. We weren't too happy about this due to the cost as we were out all day, but the hosts were very accommodating and waived electricity for that day. There was a constant water leak coming from the wall in the upstairs bathroom, and if you used the AC downstairs in the living room, quite a lot of water dripped out of the vent. We solved the AC leak by not using it. The staff were unable to fix the water leak in the bathroom - it was quite a big leak that covered half the en suite floor and the cleaning staff were aware of it as they knew where it was coming from. However, as it was from the wall and not the toilet, there was not much they could do about it apart from regularly mop it up. Hopefully they fix this before future stays!
