Either way the furniture is positioned so you are always part of the conversation no matter where you are. Up the spiral staircase, you will notice a delightful retreat, the master bedroom is furnished with a king-sized bed that promises a restful night’s sleep after a day of exploring and enjoying your vacation and that’s not all – the large closet ensure you have plenty of room to unpack and settle in. Adjacent to the master bedroom is the second bedroom, which offers a cozy queen-sized bed. But what makes this room truly exceptional is the sweet deck just outside the door. Imagine waking up to the soothing breeze and enjoying a cup of coffee or reading your favorite book while taking in the beautiful outdoors. Both bedrooms are thoughtfully designed, from tasteful furnishings to warm ambience, we have taken care of the detail so that you feel pampered and content during your stay. One of the best features of our rental is the location, walking distance to all shops, excursions, and food you could possibly dream of. With plenty of free off-street parking you can toss the keys aside and walk to your areas of interest. Stay connected during your stay with our complimentary high speed WIFI allowing you to easily share your vacation memories with friends back home. Other amenities include a washer and dryer available in the house at no charge. Air conditioning and ceiling fans keep the air moving. Firstmate, Mighty Oak, Acorn, and Captains Quarters (still under construction) are all beautifully renovated homes located in the heart of Boothbay Harbor and also share the same parking lot. Wow! We were so pleased with out stay at Firstmate. It was a short and pretty walk to the heart of downtown Boothbay Harbor. The two story apartment was at the back of a Victorian set well back from the road and it was very quiet and peaceful. On the private balcony we felt like we were in a treehouse overlooking a lot of trees and greenery. The inside was well laid out with comfortable beds, fluffy towels, and lots of privacy between bedrooms. The lower level had just what we needed for making snacks and hanging out. Not a "cook's kitchen" per se but more than adequate for storing and reheating all of our leftovers. The entire unit was spotless and exceeded out expectations. On the last day we realized that there were storage drawers incorporated into the bed frames but there was more than enough room in the closets for our clothes. There are no negatives but I would just add a kettle for the tea drinkers.
