This is a big house - big enough for all 10 of us to have our own spaces. There are plenty of bathrooms too. The kitchen is a little small but we are a family of cooks so we all wanted to be in there. There were some kitchen appliances and gadgets that we would have liked, like a toaster, but we managed to work anything that was lacking. The windows and doors have gaps so some insects got it - but this is the tropics! The pool is small and lovely. It is not very deep so it was good for our 4-year-old. The sheets and towels were white and clean and there are extras in the laundry room. There is a grocery store very close by which was convenient. The owners will also arrange for groceries and anything else to be delivered. The house is behind a hotel and restaurant and they will also deliver food to the house and you can pay at registration when it is convenient. It is along Ruta 34 which has some heavy truck traffic at times, but set back from the road behind a huge grassy area so it wasn't too bad. If you call an Uber or taxi you will want to meet them by the restaurant as the house is tucked in behind and hidden from view. Hot water is from a passive solar system; you have to shower during daylight hours or very early evening if you want a hot shower. There is a washing machine but the clothes dryer doesn't work which is fine if it isn't raining and you can hang clothes on the lines outside. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful.
