The location was convenient, within walking distance from the town centre and train station.

Upon arrival we spent 20 mins trying to contact the owner/manager of the property from the doorstep in the rain to obtain the code to access the key to the property. The parking space included with the property booking was for permit holders only and we received a GBP100 penalty for using it. Pleas to the owner to take care of the penalty were ignored. The thermostat was broken and the heating could only be controlled by manually turning each radiator on or off in each room resulting in always having to choose between either being extremely cold or stiflingly hot. The bed linen was stained by what I can only hope was laundry detergent. The mattresses were the thinnest we've ever had the misfortune to sleep on. The kitchen was stocked only with very basic utensils, we had to purchase baking trays.
