Nestled in a field of wildflowers under the shade of mature trees, this 19th-century farmhouse in Sedgwick is Maine country living at its finest. On these six acres of rolling meadow, you'll find peace, quiet, and magnificent stargazing on clear nights. This two-story home enjoys a pastoral setting in small-town Sedgwick, off of the main road and about a mile from the harbor and town dock. This is an incredibly special pocket of coastal Maine, ripe for exploring tranquil Deer Isle (the bridge is five miles west), the surrounding Blue Hill Peninsula, and Acadia National Park (39 miles east). The farmhouse itself dates back to 1830 and retains much of its original charm. But it's also been thoughtfully updated with modern comforts, from a smart TV in the family room to stainless steel appliances (including a French-door fridge and a gas stove) in the kitchen. Take morning walks on the Hundred Acre Wood Trail nearby, come home to grab a change of clothes from the washer/dryer, and spend your days taking in the wonders of the peninsula. Things to Know Check-in time: 4:00 PM. Check-out time: 10:00 AM. All guests shall abide by Vacasa's good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. There is currently a resident living in/above the garage. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.
