The host was very welcoming and helpful. she helped us with our itinerary and arranged the cab for us with the good driver. Our room was very clean with the beautiful view .Even the breakfast they served was very good.

One of the loveliest properties I’ve stayed in India. The owner of Heschuk and the staffs there are really cooperative and super kind. It’s completely surrounded by mountains and trees and the sunset from the room is something you can’t miss. The place is magical in itself.

The level of care and personal assistance from the Achan (the host) was exceptional. She communicated promptly via WhatsApp to any query at any time, and showed an initiative for the welfare and needs of all guests that I have never experienced in decades of travel. The food served was delicious and great value, and saved a trip into town in the evening. Kitchen staff were on hand to make tea when requested. The dining/sitting area is a beautiful place to sit and meet other travellers, with a stunning view over the old castle. I returned to Heschuk three times during my month in Ladakh and it felt like home. Out of the busy area, quiet (with the exception of dogs barking) and a 15min downhill walk to the centre of town. Uphill walk back, or a cheap taxi.
I would have liked to be able to make a cup of tea early in the morning. 8am was a bit late some days.

Truly amazing Guesthouse! The house and our room were stunningly beautiful; Achan and the rest of the team are very kind and helpful. Food was great too.
Would highly recommend it to anyone and I hope we'll be back some day!
