Experience a unique piece of Sandwich's history when you call The Belfry Meetinghouse your next retreat! Original architecture, stained glass windows, and over 7,000 sq ft of living make up the stay's brilliant interior. Cooled by central air-conditioning, the home features five en suite bedrooms, a sprawling great room, and a spectacular chef's kitchen. Entering through the handsome front doors, you will immediately take notice of the marble foyer with a dual staircase rising into the main living space. Ideal for events or large family gatherings this space offers dining for 40, a game area, a piano, a fireplace, and easy access to the full kitchen. Surrounded by light hues of blue, yellow, and green - the stained glass windows extend upwards and highlight this entire space. Off the main dining area, discover a library, full of bookshelves and old-worldly wonders - ideal for afternoon reading sessions or work meetings. When you aren't cuddled up and reading your favorite book, gather around the pool table or Ping-Pong table for hours of playful competition. Your games can be paired with a drink, prepared at the wet bar. As you explore the rest of the home, you will find the former choir loft, renovated into a gallery sitting area, speckled with sunlight, and displaying a three-story staircase that leads to the bell tower. The five bedrooms hold their own unique piece of history as each was named after a historically significant doll (hearkening to its former use as a doll museum). These rooms all feature en suite bathrooms with whirlpool tubs, as well as, TVs, high-quality linens, and central air. The primary suite boasts a special panorama perk of views of the first floor from the veranda doors. Additional interior perks include a separate laundry room, an interior elevator, and internet access. Outside, enjoy the Massachusetts weather from the patio while grilling. When you're exploring Sandwich, a multitude of shops, restaurants, and parks are close by. Pick up a memorable souvenir at the Sandwich Glass Museum, take a peaceful stroll through the Heritage Museums & Gardens, and enjoy a day in the sand at Scusset Beach State Reservation.
