The train station is 5 minutes walking (500 meters) and car is not necessary. A free parking is at walking distance but you can take a shuttle that from the parking take you to the apartment. The shuttle service is every 10 minutes (6 times /hour) The train and bus links from Pistoia make it a fantastic base from which to explore other parts of northern Tuscany. The train-line runs west to the coast with stops at the chic spa town of Montecatini Terme, (10 minutes away), and on to; Lucca, Pisa and Viareggio. Florence to the east is less than 30 minutes away and many “pistoiesi” commute there to study at the University or work in the city. The ski resort of Abetone lies to the north of Pistoia only 45 minutes away.
