The location is absolutely fabulous but in the near neighbourhood there are no other facilities. Room nice, shower curtain could be better replaced with glass door.
We arrived at 17.30, reception was already closed, everything dark, road to palace dark and muddy. Luckily some one showed us our keys and room. We arrived in restaurant at 17.45 where other people were also sitting. Nobody came to serve. It turned out it was already closed. Last orders taken at 16.30 so during winter it is more a lunch restaurant. It was annoying as we did not have had lunch and were hungry, looking forward to a nice meal. Info on booking should be better. The brewery on the palace grounds was all dark but luckily open. It should have served pizza and (buffalo) burgers but very kind lady said that she had only pizza, and beer...not bad pizza but we ate in the dark. Did not seem very welcoming. Room was extremely warm. Seems to me one could economize on heating and spend more on light and electricity. Overall we loved the place but better info or warning on closure of restaurant would be appreciated as offering a. good and 'up to standard' alternative on premises when so. Lady at reception in the morning was very kind.
