It is located off Husum in the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park and was a marsh island until 1987. Already at the beginning of the 20th century the peninsula was connected by a dam. The popular vacation resort is surrounded by the sea on three sides. Here you can find vacation pleasure and recreation all year round. In autumn and winter a fresh breeze blows over the dike.
