The home is a great base for exploring a vibrant and beautiful area of Maine, New Hampshire and the White Mountains: Shopping & Dining: Enjoy Bridgton's quaint downtown with shops, movie theater, brewery and restaurants just 10 minutes away. Drive 25 minutes to North Conway with all the shops and activities it has to explore (including Storyland). Skiing: Pleasant Mountain right across the street for day and night skiing. Cranmore Mountain (25 minute drive) and Sunday River (45 minute drive) are nearby. Theme parks: Storyland in Glen, NH (40 minute drive) and Cranmore Mountain Adventure Park (25 minute drive). Hiking: Across the street on Mountain Road are two very popular hikes up Pleasant Mountain: The Ledges Trail (3.3 miles roundtrip) and Bald Peak Trail (4.6 miles roundtrip). The Pondicherry Park Trail (1.4 miles) in downtown Bridgton is an excellent family hike. There are hundreds of other nearby hikes in the lakes region and White Mountains.
