Lovely comfortable apartment, in an ideal central location for visiting Durham. Accessible car park and very well provisioned kitchen.

The location was excellent. A few minutes walk to the cathedral. Yes, it was a bit noisy on one night, but you're in the thick of a university campus, so take some earplugs! The host was very friendly and on hand to help if you need anything. The bed downstairs was very comfortable and there was a lot of space in the living area. The sherry and snacks provided, as well as a few breakfast provisions were a lovely touch. The apartment did feel very homely.

The kitchen wasn't 100% clean. The cleaning lady (very nice lady) turned up as we were leaving and had less than an hour to wizz round the place, change the beds and towels etc. It wasn't enough time to do a thorough clean, and this may be because the host is very accommodating - we also arrived earlier than anticipated, and he was happy to come and meet us at our convenience.
