About this house rental

This charming brick home was built in the 1950s on the foundation of the original homestead in this area. It used to be 40 acres that stretched all the way up the mountain. It now sits on 3/4 acre and the interior of the home has been beautifully renovated with modern amenities while keeping the charm of the original house. With its spacious kitchen in the center of the house, wide doorways lead to the bright dining area and cozy living room. The hallway leads to three bedrooms with ample sleeping options including a kids room with a bunk and daybed with trundle and a master suite with its own luxurious bathroom. If the huge front window doesn't entice you to sit out on the front porch, the large back deck will give you ample space to enjoy the gorgeous old water oak shading the house and the 3/4 acre yard with fire pit for your use. Just over 5 miles beyond the house, Mt Pisgah Highway leads you up the winding road to the famous Blue Ridge Parkway, America's longest linear park with countless opportunities to experience the incredible beauty of the southern Appalachian mountains. While you might feel like you are escaping it all in this peaceful setting, Asheville's downtown scene of world famous cuisine, art studios and shopping is just 25 minutes away. The nearest grocery store is just 8 miles away with gas and convenience stores closer and even a sweet local bakery (Budgie's bakeshop) less than a mile from the house! The natural beauty of western North Carolina has inspired visitors to return time and again and there is so much to do and see here. From the architectural treasures of the Biltmore and Grove Park Inn to the natural wonders a thriving art scene, there is something for everyone.

We very much enjoyed our stay! We visited a nearby town (Hendersonville) and went to Moonshine Mountain and snow-tubed. We also went and sifted some amazing treasures from the mining place in the same town! We truly loved our experience!
