About this house rental
Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Newly constructed lovely cottages on Kellers Bay near Port Lavaca Texas. Private pool and private lighted pier with fish cleaning station. Bring your boat. Excellent fishing or just getting away and relaxing. One bedroom with king bed. A very comfortable fold out couch with a queen bed in the spacious living area. Reserve all three houses for an awesome group experience for families or other groups. This unique property is approximately one mile down a country road through a working ranch. There is an electric gate with a code. Tiny homes have one bedroom with a king bed. Spacious living area with fully equipped kitchen, television and dining area. Lots of out door space to play games, relax, swim and fish. For those inclined, there is a horse barn with stalls available for rent. Hosts are available to help with your enjoyment. Sunset Bay is a few miles from the tiny community of Olivia and a few miles from the tiny community of Port Alto. There is a boat ramp in Olivia available to the public. Olivia is on the Great Texas Birding Trail. The small Haterius State Park is a few miles away and also has a public boat ramp. The closest convenience store is 7 miles away for beer, wine, ice, bait, fishing supplies, etc. Fishville Trading Post is the nearest restaurant and is 14 miles from Sunset Bay. A larger assortment of restaurants, bars, shopping, etc are found in Port Lavaca and Palacios (15 miles). Seadrift, Rockport, Port O’connor and Victoria are all within about 1 hr.

We were staying in the Port Lavaca area for work reasons (professor + 3 students), so we didn't have much time to enjoy the environs. But the house was as described and very clean. Would definitely recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!! Unfortunately, Mother Nature had taken out the lights on the pier but owners were already in the process of getting them repaired. The porch has a wonderful view of the water and was so relaxing sitting on the porch drinking coffee in the mornings. Definitely plan to go back soon!!
