Follow the path immediately west to meet a broad stretch of open beach, or head over to Grayland Beach State Park half a mile south. Explore the nearby town of Westport (seven miles), tour the International Mermaid Museum (13 miles), or hop on board a whale-watching or fishing charter. Named for Charles Bulfinch, the architect of the interim Capitol Dome after the War of 1812 for whom Captain Robert Gray originally named Grays Harbor (then Bulfinch Harbor), this studio acts as a showcase of its setting. Step through the glass doors to find a grassy area with a picnic table and views of the dune grass stretching down toward the ocean. Inside, enjoy a convenient kitchenette (with a mini-fridge, a four-burner stove, an oven, a microwave, and a coffee maker), a bistro table for simple meals and board games, and both complimentary WiFi and a smart TV for your entertainment.
