Location was great, rooms were very clean and staff there were excellent and attentive.
However, the pillows were quite thick and not the most comfortable....although the overall bed was very comfortable

Travel in late April 2026 to Porto. This is a small hotel with only 9 rooms. Rooms are large with a small kitchen that we didn't use.
All staff were very friendly and helpful.
A minor complaint is the bath shower accumulate water when showering. Not to have the water flow too much and sweep the water toward the drainage when showering.
Certain rooms face the back where there are restaurants. So at night can be noisy. But people tend to clear before midnight.

What can I say about Prim and Proper? From the moment we checked in, to the moment we checked out, the service and overall experience was top-notch. Every single member of the staff that we interacted with were positive, attentive, warm, helpful, and professional -- from the front desk, all the way to the cook in the restaurant. There aren't enough words to describe how well we were taken care of. The décor and vibe of the entire property is also on point, and the rooms are the kind you actually look forward to coming back to after being out all day. On check in, we were welcomed with a complimentary meat and cheese board, as well as two lovely glasses of red wine. Our package also included breakfast, which was always prepared fresh to order, and tasted delicious. Our room was clean, organized and properly stocked (though maybe some hooks in room 4.2 to hang bathrobes/bath towels would be nice). Cannot say enough good things about the exemplary level of care exhibited at this hotel. Suffice to say, we will be back, and would wholeheartedly recommend Prim and Proper due to their aspirational level of hospitality and attention to detail.
