There was a rat in the bedroom, it woke me up. We packed up and left! If it wasn't for the rat. It would have been ok for a night. The lady running the place said she sent us an email, with check in information but I never got it. Thank goodness, we just happened to run into her. No phone number. She mention something about Rat but she said there were no rat but that is not True!

Don't waste your time or money on this place. We tried calling multiple times to book a room, never answered the phone nor did they ever return our calls. We went online and found we could book thru Hotels.com and finally booked a room. The pictures and descriptions described the place as rustic, and boy was it. We arrived at 3:00 for our check in and the sign in the window said OPEN, the door was locked, we knocked for several minutes, tried calling, of course no answer. Other guests were arriving trying to check in as well. It was close to 90 degrees outside, finally at 3:45 the "woman" opened her door dressed in a bath towel around her body and a bath towel on her head, she said she was in the hot tub, scowling at me she asked if she could help me. I said we have reservations and been trying to check in for 45 minutes, she went to her computer and said oh so sorry I don't have a reservation for you....I told her I booked online on Hotels.com and she said that was the problem. I had booked the "ladybug" cabin and she said it was not available but she could put us in the "mancave", I said ok. Got the key walked into the room and it was disgusting, smelly and somewhere I just could not stay in. Mind you I do not have a problem with rustic, I do have a problem with stinky smelly dirty rooms. They did not even bother sweeping the leaves and debris off the porch, the place was awful. Fortunately I had purchased the insurance and was successful in getting a full refund

To all the people that complain: I don't know what the deal is. These are cabins, not a swanky downtown hotel. I really enjoyed my short stay, just passing through town. It was very quiet, I got a good night's sleep, WiFi worked great, and the property manager was super nice and helpful.
