I can’t say enough positive things about the August House. First the main building is from the 1860’s and it both maintains the character of the place but was tastefully updated during COVID when converted to a hotel. The is no reception, when we checked messages via Expedia had not come through fortunately the local staff had sent me enough info I could contact them directly and they were lightning fast with responses. There are a couple beautiful sitting areas in the main drawing room and on the third floor. In the second floor kitchenette, free ice cream sandos (nice use of hockey slang in keeping with Windsors hockey history or someone loves Shoresy.) Great king bed, lovely bathroom all very clean. Mellisa on staff that day laid out a beautiful breakfast and specifically catered to my wife gluten free diet. She also shared the history of the building and the preservation of stained glass windows from a local church. As well they have thoughtful amenities, umbrellas, and snacks set out in addition to 2 fire pits and private saunas, if we had known what this place was like in advance we would have stayed longer to fully enjoy it.

This was a truly boutique hotel. Everything was clean. Great spacious room. Breakfast was done very well and we loved the family setting at the tables so we were able to interact with other guests. Thank you for a great stay.
