Villa Maida is one of only a couple of casa particulares inside Las Terrazas so is ideally suited for visitors not staying at Hotel Moka or those looking for a more authentic, local stay. As of Jan 2022, the hotel was still on the prohibited list to US visitors.
Villa Maida is just a 5 minute walk to the centre of Las Terrazas and you can hike from the villa directly. The room is basic but clean. During our stay AC wasn't on but there are units in the rooms. Beds were comfortable. The hosts were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful and provided amazing breakfasts and dinners at exceptional value. Maida speaks good English and helped with excursions and onward travel. We really enjoyed our stay here and visit to Las Terrazas - an ideal 2-day stopover on our way to Vinales.
