The property was close to the beach and had a rooftop pool.
There was some miscommunication about the pool usage.

We have enjoyed this nice family vacation house located close to the beach and short bus drive to the center of Porto. This was a spacious apartment with the direct access to the rooftop swiming pool, providing nice breakfast in the nearby caffee.

The pool and pool deck is nicer than photos suggest. Owner is friendly, helpful, and speaks English. Decks. Breakfast voucher.
You have to walk through one of the bedrooms in the two-bedroom suite to reach the bathroom.

This accommodation is near the beach, although a few blocks uphill from the beach. But the position is good with everything close by. It’s easy to catch a bus to Porto and is a nice ride along the river.
The host, Jorge is extremely helpful with info on things to see, restaurants and bus service.
Nice touches like kettle, tea and coffee, bottles of drinking water and shower cap, sewing kit and a little old fridge that “whooshed” in the night.
There is also a shared kitchen and washing machine. Breakfast is simple but in a lovely patisserie around the corner.
Wouldn’t take much (new curtains and lots of plump pillows) to make this meanly decorated room into a more plush inviting room. The building is solid but the curtains were cheap, the pillows were small and lumpy and the mattress hard foam.
Long open weave curtains would not only enhance the room but also provide privacy from the street outside and allow in light without closing off the street view.
