This was a great home, at the end of a road, next to the river. Parking is a little tight and backing up can be tricky if you have a truck. There is a small dock for fishing and could be used to launch a canoe or kayake. The kitchen had plenty of cookware, some spices, and very nice appliances. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of pillows and extra blankets. The house was clean and well maintained. Options for dining, hiking, fishing and boating are nearby. The host was easily reached and responded quickly. She even had local recommendations. Overall, the perfect place for a relaxing trip. We enjoyed our stay!

House is wonderful. We had so much fun playing in the river and going down tit he beach. Absolute paradise.

Overall was fairly centrally located for visiting NAS Whiting. As much as we love planes, though, there was WAY too much plane traffic from nearby Peter Prince. Cessnas taking off every morning for hours basically over the house which made it hard to enjoy the lovely spacious yard and river view or even be on the porch or porch swing or talk to each other. The dock was tough for launching the canoe or kayaks due to the height above the river--we did paddle around the river once--but would be nice if you had a boat. The inside is funky. A large great room and master on the first floor but upstairs only accessible via a small metal spiral staircase that goes up the middle of the room. It would be tough for folks with mobility issues and little kids.
