The very best thing about this rental is the canyon view, stunning and awe inspiring! The house, which sits on the rim of the canyon, is a long-lived-in vintage home, clean and comfortable with amazing artwork. It has many lovely pieces of antique display furniture, too many in fact as far as having walking space in the main bedroom. The amazing main family room has very large viewing windows, comfortable furniture, a large gas fireplace and a gorgeous grand piano!Entry to the house is upstairs through the garage with the main level of the house downstairs. You definitely have to be able to negotiate stairs.PROS: View, view, view!!Minutes to Palo Duro Canyon State ParkSecure & privateClean & comfortableWell-stocked kitchenWrap-around porchBirds! This was a last minute booking for us and exactly what we wanted. We loved the view! It was amazing looking over Sunday Canyon. Just outside the Palo Duro State Park gate. A short drive to Canyon and Amarillo. The house is vintage as stated. It has a lot of antiques throughout. The artwork by Carl J Smith is phenomenal. I had to run to Google to look him up. We experienced high winds, rain, fog, sunshine-and loved every minute of it from the front deck looking over the canyon or to keep warm from the living room. We would definitely recommend for families or couples. It was a great vacation from our beach paradise. Thank you for sharing you slice of paradise with us!
