- Day trips to Asheville, NC or Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, TN
- Historic towns of Rogersville and Jonesborough (International Storytelling Festival and Center) TN are both a short drive. Abingdon, VA home of the famous Barter Theater is just 1 hour away.
- Access to area lakes (Cherokee, Patrick Henry, Boone, Watauga) and access to the Holston River is just minutes away.
- Great parks such as Bays Mountain, Laurel Run and Warriors Path.
- Bristol Motor Speedway is just 40 mins away (35 miles)
- Tri-Cities Regional Airport (TRI) is just a 30 min drive (25 miles)
