Clean, comfortable, spacious apartment in a perfect location.

Perfect location, 5 mins from Trindade Station, close to shopping district and major attractions. Clean, comfortable spacious apartment. Bakery/cafe which served breakfast right downstairs was a major plus point. Great shower in the well appointed bathroom. The Japanese toilet was a revelation. Self check in was very efficiently handled and the owners responded promptly when we needed help with the coffee machine. Lovely to have the outside terrace to sit outside in the evening.

No air con in bedroom, but with good thick curtains to keep the heat out during the day, it was manageable.

Ok but lots of small details need to be addressed.

It was a well located property - close to the markets, the shopping strip and a number of nice restaurants down the street. It was an ok stay and if the points below are addressed it would enhance the stay and make it better value for money. It had a washing machine and an outdoor area to hang the clothes to dry. The bed was comfortable and there was enough space for 2 people

The key to the building wasn’t in the lock box - thankfully the building door was broken (but a security concern) and could be pushed open so we could access the apartment keys in the lock box at the apartment door. We messaged the host and got a response quickly so I believe they would have come to open it but the key should have been there as expected. The Booking.com photos of the balcony had photos of nice furniture but there was only a bare wooden sun lounge, one chair at the outdoor table and a rusty coffee table. The couch downstairs is a sofa bed and was set up as a bed so we had to put it back together as a couch to watch the TV. The bedroom and the bathroom are upstairs, there were lights on the walls for the stairs but no switches will turn them on. There is no air conditioning upstairs in the bedroom, it was too warm on a 24 Celsius day. The bedroom curtains are super long and dangle on the floor by half a metre yet they don’t cover the width of the windows so the light comes in. There are no lamps beside the bed so you have to get up in the dark to find the light switch on the wall. The shower needs a good scrub and had orange mould/scum around the bottom tiles that I could wipe off with my finger, the toilet keeps running after being flushed and has to be pressed again to stop it, the tissue holder was empty, we ran out of toilet paper on the 2nd night. A lot of these are small things that could be easily improved. We have let the host know all these details and, if fixed, it is an otherwise well located and well presented apartment.

La ubicación y la tranquilidad

El apartamento necesita mejorar: Cama blanda, No tiene aire acondicionado en la habitación de arriba y las cortinas dejan pasar la luz. Escobilla del WC y soporte de papel higiénico están oxidados. Las mesillas no tienen lámpara. En la cocina faltaria un microondas. La terraza muy descuidada.
