About this house rental
Drive in or fly in to relax in a cozy 3 bedroom cottage on the Frio River. Yes, we have an air strip for those of you who have the capability of flying in. The views will bring tranquility and you will not want to leave. Enjoy the fire pit on the rock patio that over sees the views of mountains and trees. The river is approximately 200 yards away where you can enjoy swimming or fishing. When not at the river, challenge your friends/family to a game of corn hole or horse shoes. The cottage on the river is a great place to get away from the business of life and to slow down and enjoy the ones that mean the most to you.

Very clean home and comfortable beds. I would suggest however to gather groceries before hand, even though there is a mercantile in town, it is a bit pricey.. Definitely check out the river flow before since we can not control mother nature, but it was good enough for us and our fur babies to get in and cool off and let them swim around a bit. Overall we enjoyed the peaceful wildlife and searched for rocks. Had a great time since our girls just graduated from college and they finally got to rest their minds..

My family absolutely loved this place. The back porch was perfect for enjoying the mornings and evenings. The property provided a good bit of privacy too with a nice view. We went when to river was too low so we just made a quick drive down the road to Garner State Park and enjoyed the river there. I highly recommend this place to anyone!

This property just north of Leakey was charming and peaceful. It was roomy and comfortable for our family of four. It was easy for us to cook dishes for our family reunion we were attending. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The back porch was a wonderful place to enjoy morning coffee and a country view. Hosts were responsive and helpful, and concerned about my car when a storm was on its way, possibly with hail. They had me pull it into the nearby barn for safety. That was really appreciated. You will love the tranquility of this property, yet the ease to get into Leakey quickly to enjoy the fun in town and the Frio River!

The beds were comfortable and the back porch was nice. Several things disappointed me. 1. There was a mop bucket full of dirty mop water and mop left in the kitchen. 2. There was only one garbage bag that fit the trash can in the kitchen. When I asked the owner about it, no response. 3. The living room furniture was awful. Not what it was in the pictures. The couch was uncomfortable and seemed dirty. Same with the 2 chairs. There was no “sitting together in the living room.” 4. There are no closets or dressers to unpack. Had to live out of suitcases for 5 nights. 5. There is a window in the shower that is not made of frosted glass. It is too big and too low of a window to have in a shower. The curtain that covers it is sheer. If you shower at night, anyone and see in. That is not safe or appropriate. 6. The first day, the hot tub was not functioning and it smelled bad.
Overall, we had a good time. We will try another house if we return to the Frio River.
