PLEASANT PLACE GETAWAY
HOME, SWEET, COUNTRY HOME!!
SECLUDED, Yet just 10 minutes away from First Monday Trade Days, this "PLEASANT PLACE" Getaway is peaceful, charming, and completely surrounded by nature.
This lovely 2 bedroom / loft / 2 bathroom home is completely furnished with linens, towels, and a full kitchen with a gas stove top and double ovens.
Bedroom #1 has a kingsize, fully organic mattress for a healthy nights sleep.
Bedroom #2 has a queen Murphy bed (pulls down from wall).
The downstairs 1 1/2 bathroom opens into the king bedroom and also into the hallway.
Upstairs, there is a loft (access via stairs, not a ladder), with a pillow top queen bed and a full bathroom.
The loft overlooks the kitchen / living area, with beautiful outdoor views.
There is a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. It is a Haverty's standard sleeper with upgraded mattress.
RATES listed are for 2 people. Each additional person is $15 per night.
You are welcome to try fishing in our pond but it is not stocked. There are small perch and we have occasionally caught catfish.
NO swimming (water activities) allowed NO using of pedalboat or kayaks
NO 4 wheelers, side by sides, dirt bikes, go karts are to be driven on property. Only regular passenger vehicles (no buses, no RV’s) allowed on property.
Our house is also on this property, approximately 100 yards (300 feet) from Pleasant Place Getaway. There is also a "visual" block (storage building) in between the 2 houses for your privacy.
This property is a wonderful family atmosphere. :-)
ADDITIONAL FEES WILL BE ADDED for unapproved pets and early check in, or more guests than what is stated in your reservation.
Check in is 3pm and check out is 11am. (10am on First Monday Fri/Sat.)
Late check out may be available upon request.
RATES ARE BASED ON 2 people. For couples (2 person stay and using downstairs only, I will deduct $40 of the cleaning fee).
Additional guests are $15 per night per person. Maximum 6 adults, 2 children under 12
FIRST MONDAY RATES ARE HIGHER.

We rented this property for our 3-day family reunion, and overall it was a pleasant stay. Check-in was smooth, and the host was helpful enough to text me the exact Google Maps location since the entrance can be easy to miss.The property itself worked well for our family gathering, but there are a few things future renters should know. The rental is located very close to the host’s home, so if you are expecting complete privacy, this may not be the best fit because the hosts can see most of the activity on the property.One disappointment was that we brought our registered ATV to ride on the secluded country roads nearby, but shortly after arriving, the host texted to say that ATVs and side-by-sides were not allowed on the property. This restriction was not mentioned anywhere in the online listing or house rules. Since the only way off the property was via the long driveway, we ultimately decided not to ride at all.I mentioned to the host that I wished this policy had been disclosed in advance, since I assumed riding would be allowed due to the amount of land and absence of any written restriction, the response felt unnecessarily sarcastic and rude. I was asked, “So you thought you could just ride your ATV on someone’s land just because there is a lot of land?” I explained that my assumption was based solely on the fact that it was not listed as prohibited in the property policies. The interaction left a negative impression and could have been handled more professionally.

We loved our stay at this property! It is beautiful and peaceful. It was equipped with everything you need. You can sit on the porch and watch the sunset overlooking the pond. Great for a relaxing getaway!

We arrived late & GPS took us down the wrong road... Kerry came to get us & led us in the right direction. The house was clean & comfortable. Our smaller dog enjoyed hanging out. It really was a beautiful spot. Since we arrived after dark it was a beautiful surprise to wake up to. We didn't want to leave.
