Had a great stay while visiting our son in Sarasota. Used the two car garage as we packed our bikes and golf clubs. Property has a lot of extras to make going to the beach and hanging out at the pool super fun!

I booked this for a relaxing family vacation. It was anything but.I've only ever had positive rental experiences and don't nitpick. That changes when a host is dishonest and dismissive.If you're looking at this listing now, there's a video accurately showing the pool area. That video did not exist when I booked. It was added only after I escalated outside of VRBO, all of which is documented.Every photo showed the pool enclosed within a screened lanai. That enclosure doesn't exist and hasn't for years. No disclosure anywhere. The host points to "open pool home" as justification. Any reasonable person would interpret that as layout or availability, not as a disclaimer that the cage in every photo is gone.When I raised this on arrival, the host said I should have asked ahead of time and refused any resolution. I escalated to VRBO with evidence and was told to stay because the host says the listing is accurate. It wasn't until I went outside of VRBO that their Global Traveler Resolutions team got involved and the host suddenly updated the listing.We never got to enjoy the pool, the only reason I booked. Bugs and sun exposure made it unusable.Since the host wasn't forthcoming, I won't be either: inconvenient location and layout, dirty dishes, master shower doesn't drain, closet light out, hair on the bedroom floor, guest toilet takes multiple flushes. We left it cleaner than we found it.Comfortable beds and good water pressure. That's it.Would not book again.
