Logistics problem

The owners and their sons were very helpful. Particularly in helping us with our bags on the steep climb via stairs from the main road. Also, when the LA Luna restaurant guy tried to cheat us, Mr Ivan helped to save our money .

There is a steep climb via stairs to reach the hotel from the road accessible by a taxi. For us as senior citizens, to go up with our heavy luggage was very difficult. The owners said they couldn't accept payment by credit card , and wanted cash payment only.

Good value for money during the touristy season

Good value for money, and absolutely spotless! The place has a kitchen shared by guests of 2 rooms. The terrace has a good view and this is close to the port of Gruz. The room was exactly as in the pictures.

The host speaks almost no English, but was happy to share information using a translator app. The walk up to this place is definitely not for the faint hearted. Also quite a bit away from the old town (~6 bus stops away)

beautiful getaway for a couple nights.

great space, lovely owners, offered to drop us at airport shuttle in the morning, short walk to the markets, beautiful view.

the smell of cats but it’s Croatia so that’s pretty standard, lots of stairs (also standard Croatia)

Exciting

I really have liked the owners and their kindness. Room was essential but provided with everything you need for short nice trips. Location was nice and peaceful, near supermarkets, bakeries and bus stops. Beaches and Old Town are just a couple of km away, you can decided if go by walking or take a bus. I warn you that bus drivers are pretty rude and pretend to not understand english

Disappointing

the air conditioner I guess

bathroom is disgusting and small, there’s no room for showering and everything is hanged on the wall with spit. you couldn’t touch anything cause they kept falling. bathroom didn’t have a window. the room smelled old, the towels have been used so much that they feel rough and uncomfortable on the skin. the bed was pretty average and the balcony was dirty. the old woman and the old man are pretty inviting and kind, but the other guy is really rude and constantly peeved. you cannot ask for anything twice cause he will get angry or annoyed at you. he rubs off any questions asked more than twice and finds an excuse like “I won’t answer to you for more than 45 minutes cause I’m with clients.”. yeah shut up man. Parking is *not* included on the get go and you have to ask for it, even though there’s barely anything written about it. public parking is pricey (17-18€) and on lower roads, which become really uncomfortable to walk to the structure since everything is up on on pieces of stairs and stairs. for 80/100€ you don’t even get breakfast, what you get is old smelly dirty rooms and bathrooms. HIGHLY don’t recommend it.

Friendly owners/staff.

Shower went cold after 5 minutes. Apart from that, a really nice place to stay.

Nice hosts , but bed should be better.

Friendly host, good AC. Nice pizza restaurant nearby and supermarket.

Street was a set of stairs, very tiring for me due to health condition. Bed was quite hard and uncomfortable.

Clean apartment, good facilities. good for one night stay

Very small, not much room to move around - especially in the bathroom (it’s tiny). The room we had, the drainage in the bathroom didn’t smell very nice. quite loud outside at night.

Superb

The room was very clean and the mattress and pillow were very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and contained a washing machine so we were able to wash our clothes.

The bathroom was not inside the room, it was outside and we had keys for it because it’s private but it’s a bit of a hassle and lacks privacy moving back and forth between the bathroom and room.

Great apartment

A cozy place up on a mountain, so be ready to climb over 300 stairs from the sea level to reach it. There was a shared kitchen with everything you need to cook simple breakfast or supper. We could eat inside or outside, at the terrace. It was very quiet during the night except one time when the other guests were talking loudly in the shared kitchen. Very friendly hosts. Ivo gave us some orange juice. There were also tea and instant coffee pockets, and candy. The host lady doesn't speak English much but was kind enough to make an effort and find out what we wanted, which were blanket covers for us. For that, we are very grateful! :)

The worst two things about this apartment were ants in the kitchen and the size of the room. There weren't even enough space to unfold our luggage bags. The place is also pretty far from the historical center, but it didn't bother us much. We enjoyed walking around both old and new Dubrovnik :)

A bit sweaty to walk up the hill with luggage in the middle of the day. Common problem with hills in summer, not a problem with the accommodation.

Lovely comfortable room in Dubrovnik

This place was squeeky clean and lovely. The kitchen was adequately equipped, the beds and pillows were super soft and comfortable. Wifi faster than lighting. A small supermarket is only 1 minute's walk from the room. Close to the ferry port.

The location can be a problem for people with a disability or without transport as there are many stairs to climb. For able people the stairs poses no problem at all.

Lovely friendly hosts with a comfortable room with added personal touches.

Lovely friendly hosts who added little extra touches to the room to make it more personal. AC worked very well which was needed because it was so hot! A nice space and place to stay with everything you need for a reasonable price.

There was nothing the hosts could have done better. The room was lovely, they were lovely. The only slight negative is that the property is quite up hill from the main road so is difficult to access if you have a lot of baggage.

Would have preferred to stay a while longer, though app said no.

Consistency of owner knocking on door to accept cash on prior days of extension.

I was intending to prolong my stay, but the app said the room was unavailable. I had ringing in my ears, which I don't tend to get. Not sure what the root cause was.

Exceptional

The owner is very lovely and there was a tasty bottle of wine provided for us in the room. Immaculately clean, both in the room, bathroom and shared kitchen. Aircon in the room provided blissful relief after a long day exploring Dubrovnik. Close to main port and but be prepared to walk up and down hills to get into the old town.
