Welcome to the Flying Pelican, a truly amazing BEACHFRONT townhome nestled in highly desirable Melbourne Beach, Florida. Adorned with high-end furnishings and beautiful tropical and oceanic decorations, you will find yourself steps from the pristine and very private beach of this East coast gem. Stroll the beach and immerse yourself in the abundance of wildlife that populates the beach, collect seashells, or just bask in the sun and swim the warm waters that await you, just steps from this beach paradise! This is one of the best beaches to observe the Loggerhead, Green and Leatherback turtle nesting seasons. During nesting season, March 1-October 31st, you are almost guaranteed an amazing experience, observing these giant creatures nesting or the joy of watching hatchlings make their way to the ocean for the first time. Or take a paddle board adventure on the Indian River and see dolphins and manatee. And of course, watch the Pelicans glide right over the upper balcony.
The Flying Pelican is equipped for your total comfort, from the ever so comfortable beds for a peaceful nights sleep to the fabulous surfboard kitchen for a fun social dinner. Sit out on the deck with a cocktail as you watch the sun and waves or relax in the living area and just soak it all in while you doze off.
Everything you need is very close to this cozy beachfront oasis. Spressard Holland golf course is ¼ mile from the front door for a round of golf. Or paddle board/kayak the river or ocean for the day. Take a day to enjoy the dolphin tours, the Kennedy Space Center, or the beachfront and riverfront venues with live music and great food. Near the home are the all of basics that you will need. Diagonally across the street is a convenience store/gas station that is a lifesaver.

The Flying Pelican is a multi-level town home with the 1st floor foyer leading to the master suite and master/guest bath with large shower. A large slider opens to the ground floor patio, equipped with lounge and sitting chairs as well as beach gear, stored in the garage. The foyer stairs lead up to the surfboard kitchen with front balcony and three steps up is the back is the beautiful, cozy open living area that has the panoramic view of the ocean and beach. The last level is the loft bedroom with privacy curtains that open to a view of the ocean. The loft bath has a shower/bath combo.
The property is pet friendly. Please, make sure to select “Pet” at booking. There is an additional charge for staying with your pet.
The original owner was a local artist, and you will see various pieces of his art as well as his one of a kind home designs.

Right on the beach, great view, some road noise that could be annoying for some.clean except for windows.Kitchen reasonably stocked except could use some microwave cooking dishes.replaced 2 burned out light bulbs. All in all nice place to stay in area.

We had a great stay at this fantastic location. Great view of the water and easy to access the beach. Could be challenging if someone isn't steady on their feet or too elderly. Easy to get to and while a little isolated, had choices for restaurants and grocery shopping. We actually like it was a little removed from the more bustle and development north into Melbourne. Would stay again!
