About this house rental
Come visit our Château De ‘Shop,’ a peaceful nature getaway in East Texas. Tucked away on 11+ acres of forest, this spacious guesthouse is conveniently located in-between Tyler and Lindale. We are just 4 miles south of I-20, and an hour and fifteen minutes in either direction from Dallas and Shreveport. The building was originally a metal barn/workshop, but has been beautifully renovated as a guesthouse. It is located next to our main home on the property! Surrounded by evergreen forest, two creeks, and plenty of wildlife - Château De ‘Shop’ is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
We are a fragrance-free rental! That means that we do not use candles, air fresheners (plug-ins, sprays, etc.), high-powered fragranced cleaning products, or dryer sheets. Our laundry soap and disinfectant spray both have clean ingredients that contain essential oils. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!
Our working dog, Bear, roams the property and protects our sheep. He is a Pyrenees/Golden mix. If you have any problems with him or need him to be contained, please let us know!

This is the second time I’ve stayed here. It is clean and comfortable. I haven’t had the chance to explore the property during the day time but at night, it is quiet and safe. The host is friendly and provides timely communication.
