Whether you're here to fish, hike, or simply unwind, Gallatin River Retreat is your perfect home away from home.

Originally a dude ranch, Karst Camp was established in 1901 by Pete Karst. It was the gateway to Yellowstone National Park for early tourists. The camp, known as Karst Stage Stop Inn, saw up to 600 tourists per summer with 25 guests cabins. In 1937, Pete built a towrope for skiers, which has since vanished, as well as a bar and brothel for local miners. Visitors can imagine the rugged conditions both residents and tourists must have had to endure to appreciate Yellowstone Country 100 years ago.

In the summer, you are just minutes from exceptional fly fishing, river rafting, golfing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, ziplining and more. Plus, the West entrance of Yellowstone National Park is only about 45 minutes away while following the historic HWY 191 along the scenic Gallatin River. Don't miss the free concerts, farmer's markets, and weekly special events throughout the summer!

nice new cabin. proximity to river was great.Having a fly fishing camp with training right next door was not good. No privacy during the day .as the fishing guides and students were always around. Please fix the address on house. It had us confused for a couple hours. I would consider it again.

Right on the river. Road noise was noticeable but if you closed the windows you didn’t hear it. Very small but cozy. Would stay here again

Cabin was small but had everything we needed! Scenery was beautiful with Gallatin river right outside our door. It is close to the highway which is loud when front windows are open, fine when windows are closed. This property was great! We’ll definitely stay again!
