On the vast open ranges of yesteryear, rustling was a serious problem and punishable by hanging. At its peak, one of the largest ranches in the Texas Panhandle had over 150,000 head of cattle and a thousand horses. Obviously, thieves could drive stolen livestock miles away before a rancher learned he had animals missing. Rusticity is the theme at this lovely two-bedroom hideout situated on open prairie with expansive views of Palo Duro Canyon. Informal, yet active in interpretation of the ranch land. As advertised . Beautiful setting. Great access to our destination—Palo Duro Canyon. Convenient to Canyon, TX with some very good dining options. Bedding, baths, kitchen all quite good. Outside covered porch is fantastic for early morning sunrise and late day refreshments. We travel a lot and this location is among the best we’ve come across. Highly recommend!

We stayed here with our dogs, and it was an absolute dream! We’re already trying to think of a time when we can all come back. Everything was so clean, and the property was gorgeous.

The cabin was very nice and roomy! Very well stocked with all the necessities! The view was beautiful! Very convenient to Palo Duro Canyon State Park.
