About this house rental
The Acorn is located 2 miles south of Carmel across Highway One from Point Lobos State Park - one of the most magnificent and picturesque areas on the West Coast. This property is located on approximately 5 acres on the top of a knoll overlooking Carmel Bay, Pebble Beach and Point Lobos. Surrounded by open space and park land, the Acorn is a very private setting yet only a 5 minute drive to a new Safeway, shopping and Carmel-by-the-Sea shops and dining. Golf, scuba diving, hiking, beaches -- all close by. Big Sur is a scenic drive just 40 minutes south on Highway One. In addition to the main house, there is a charming guest house with full accommodations.
The Main House: The main house features a king master suite with sliding glass doors that provide romantic, breathtaking views of Point Lobos and Pebble Beach and access to the home's expansive deck. There is also a queen bedroom with separate bathroom and dressing room that also has access to the deck via sliding glass doors. Two additional bedrooms each have two twin beds.
Guest House: The guest cottage is a charming, cozy 2-room cottage with a king bed, full bath, kitchenette and laundry. This unique cottage provides ultimate privacy from the main house should you so desire. Yet it is close enough to provide additional guest accommodations for friends or family.
We allow a maximum of 8 guests, including infants and children.

Beautiful and fascinating property with a lot of history. Very relaxing. Just far away enough to be peaceful and quiet, yet so close to everything….the towns of Carmel, Monterey, Big Sur, Pacific Grove, Spectacular ocean views from just about every room. The home is spacious and yet very warm and cozy. This home is so fully equipped with absolutely anything you could possibly think of for cooking, or entertaining. We even got a chance to see horses grazing on the property, and some wild turkey. We had a fabulous vacation there, and would love to do the trip again in that same amazing home.

Lovely home on a hill with beautiful views of Monterey Bay across a rolling pasture with photogenic and friendly horses. Everywhere you look a picture. Very convenient dog yard, securely fenced and with a chair to watch your dog roam freely while admiring the view. The setting is unbeatable. The home and guest house easily accommodate a crowd. Big flatscreen TVs dotted around and a cupboard full of games and puzzles. Close to everything you could need, as well as all the area attractions. I’m very impressed.

The Acorn was the perfect place to gather with our 3-generational family. Plenty of room to enjoy each other and the spectacular ocean views, animals and wildlife. We walked across the street to Pt Lobos State Park for exceptional hikes and to play on Monastery Beach. We cooked several delicious meals in the generously stocked kitchen. And slept great in the comfy beds. Mark responded quickly to a minor concern.
