The space.
A little history of Staples Service Station. It is believed that the old service station was in service as early as 1922. It had changed owners a few times since then. The picture on the wall as you walk in is one of the only known pictures to exist. The picture was taken around 1940. The owner in the late 1940s to the 1970s was Mac Turner. At that time, it was Mac Turners Service Station. During the remodeling, the original business licenses were attached to the wall. The earliest being 1946. After Mac Turner retired, the service station was purchased by Ben and Edna Silva. Ben Silva and his daughter Adela Silva ran the service station thru the mid-1980s. After that, it was turned into a mexican restaurant and a beauty salon. It sat vacant from the early 2000s until it was remodeled in 2020 to what it is now.

Very nice and accommodating BnB inside and out. Close to the river that we went for. Easy check in. Host messaged be back quickly about questions that i had. We brought an extra comforter because someone said the bed was uncomfortable and we slept just fine. Will definitely rent again next time we go to the river!

This was a 4.9 star stay. We will stay here again. It is unique in its decor and history. - with the exception of drive through traffic, which was rare it was quiet. Everything u need is there to include extras. I’m he twin bed is a Trendle twin bed. The mattresses were comfortable on the twin, but not the pull out Full size sofa, bed. The sofa bed mattress was about an inch thick, and really could rocks not used at all. This was the only downside to the entire stay. If the mattresses were addressed, or even the size of the mattress addressed for a married couple. That would make a humongous difference. But we really truly enjoyed our stay the hostess. Fantastic place was fantastic. No real complaints.

The house was quaint and very clean. No queen size bed, though. Nice place to sit in the back but the lights on the neighboring building ruined our star gazing.
