About this cabin rental
Pronghorn Point is our newest dry off-grid cabin. The design is crafted with blue stained lumber. The views are beautiful overlooking warm water ponds. Moose, deer, elk, bear, wolf, fox and pronghorn call this place home. Wood burning stove for heat and solar lights and phone charger. Blackstone Grill provided. Firepit. Water is supplied, re-fills at the shower house. Firewood supplied. Compost toilet. Private trails and 60 miles of trails in Routt and the Zirkel Wilderness.

What an incredible stay! This place is a little slice of heaven. The views are beautiful, the wildlife is abundant, there's easy access to hiking both on the property and in the Medicine-Bow Routt National Forest, and the hosts are welcoming, conscientious, and helpful. I had never stayed in an off-grid cabin before, but Deb and family make it all seamless. I strongly recommend: making tea on the propane stove and watching the world wake up first thing in the morning, sitting outside with a good book, stargazing, watching the wild animals go about their business, listening to the waterfall, and going for a nice hike straight out your front door. I was sad to have to leave and cannot wait to go back!

I was delighted to learn upon arrival that the cabin rental supports the work of a wildlife rehab on the property!The cabin was immaculate & the attached outhouse well-maintained. (There was never an odor inside the cabin.) The hosts also provided two jugs filled with water from the potable tap at the shower house, which was very considerate, as the cabin is dry (no running water) as stated in the listing. Plenty of wood - though it was warm enough during my visit that I didn't need much of it - as well as a bucket of cardboard & matches to get the fire going. Deb was very welcoming when I arrived & it was clear I could get in touch about anything needed (though I didn't need to).Peaceful, beautiful - just the escape I needed with my pup. I will absolutely be back!

Great experience, however, you should know that it is basically camping. No running water, electricity or kitchen.

Deborah was very welcoming and set up a great off grid cabin. Including the firewood, propane, and water was very thoughtful. Amazing views and great getaway experience .
