My favourite place I've stayed in Japan!

Paradise. We loved it and hope to return! I should keep this place a secret! :D The apartment faces right onto the sand. The beach is clean, secluded & stunning. We didn't swim but paddling was pleasant. Reading in the hammock or relaxing on the sand (beach towels provided), either by day or at night when stargazing is very rewarding. Just watch out for insects, of course, it's a tropical island. One futon and one single bed. You could share either if you don't mind being a bit squished, but I enjoyed spreading out and having one blanket each. Water pressure was good and temperature easy to adjust, bathroom was clean and had just enough space. Simple but adequate facilities for cooking and laundry. We had no problems letting laundry hang-dry on the balcony in March, when temperatures were around 21C and a light wind. The WiFi is stable enough. It could handle some live streaming and casting YouTube videos to the TV (as we needed to catch up on the current sumo tournament!). I do recommend hiring a car for this location. We used Coconut Rentacar. You can collect from the airport or their branch in Fusaki (45 min walk). We took a taxi to the apartment and collected the car from the local branch the next morning, because we enjoyed the walk. We saw serpent eagles and plovers :D You can stop to see the Nei Museum of Art or Tojin Tombs, or get an excellent breakfast at Lani Ohana cafe (lots of vegan options). We used the car to pick up groceries from MaxValu, and cooked whenever we didn't want to eat in town. We also drove a few minutes to Marine Shop HAPPY to snorkel with turtles! :D The price is not cheap but is fair compared to other options on the island. There is lots to do, especially if you have a car. I wish we had stayed longer! But now I have more reasons to come back! :D

A larger mirror and a small lamp would be nice touches. The overhead lights are very bright white, we had to unscrew two of the bulbs as my husband gets migraines... The single bed is quite squeaky, but I still slept well.

This place is remote, no dryer, no rice cooker, rental bicycles are too small. The appartment was clean though and spaci

- Staying in front of the beach

- Remote area, buying food is an adventure. You absolutely need a vehicle, and the rental bicycles are not enjoyable to ride on. The seat tube is too short, I am 1m77 and I was pedalling with my knees bent. I suggest that the owner buys longer seat tubes for the bicycles (be careful to buy the same exact diameter). - There was no rice cooker, it made cooking rice difficult. I suggest the owner buys one. - There is no dryer, and clothes don’t dry, they just stay wet for days. You’ll have to bike to downtown to get them dried at a laundry. The landlord should replace the washing machine by a vertical washer/dryer combo - There was no bedside table, no reading lamp.

部屋から海が見えるロケーション

台風直撃から3日後の宿泊。部屋に通ずる階段には落ち葉が散乱、部屋の清掃には来られてるはずですので、部屋だけではなく階段も清掃すべきでは？部屋から海が見える絶好のロケーション・・・でもイスが壊れていました TVも映りませんでした。暑い沖縄、せっかく冷蔵庫があるのだから製氷皿があればいいのに。
